On the right is a Finesville Badge of CLIMAX Council No. 124 of Jr. O.U.A.M., the jr. order of United American Mechanics. The word "junior" or "mechanic" had no relevance to the members. The organizations' objectives were to promote the interests of Americans by shielding them from the economically depressing effects of foreign competition and work to maintain the public school system. On the left Mechanics Hall is believed to be where they met. |
